LET'S GET STARTED
Our beginners class starts the first Sunday of each month, (unless there is a holiday) and meets from 2-4 pm. Class is for three Sundays and you will learn to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, fix common mistakes, and how to read a basic pattern.

Dates: June 1, 15, & 22 from 2-4pm; July 6 from 2-4pm and July 13 from 2-5pm (all the same techniques and instruction, but in a two week session); August 3, 10, 17 from 2-4pm

KIDS KNIT!!
Learn how to knit with Miss Carole! We'll learn how to cast on, knit, and bind off. Boys and girls are welcome! Grades 3 and up recomended. Kids enjoy being creative - Mom and dad can go get some coffee!

SOCKS ON CIRCULARS : Learn to knit socks on two circular needles! If you have never done socks before this is the way to do it!! This unique method is fun, quick, and easy to learn! This is a three session class. REQUIREMENTS: You must know how to knit for this class. You will need 2 pair of circular needles size 2 or 3, 24 inches, stitch markers and two skeins of Fortissima sock yarn or equivalent gauge yarn.

LEARN TO CROCHET WITH SHEA!!
Learn the basics! You will cast on, single crochet double crochet & bind off. Choose between a potholder or baby blanket for your first project. You will need worsted weight yarn and size J or H crochet needle.

THAT BAG IS SO FABULOUS!
Design and create you own felted purse in this workshop. You will learn about the fundamentals of felting and choose your own look and design. Everyone will be asking, "Where did you get that purse!" Materials 2 skeins Worsted weight 100% wool yarn, knitting needles (size 15 or 17 24" circulars), Darning needle and accent yarns (optional). You must know how to knit for this class. Beginners are welcome and encouraged!

EXPRESS KNITTING
Want to knit NOW!? If you just want to get started and make those great scarves NOW, this is the class for you! You will learn to cast on, knit and bind off. That is it! No bells, no whistles. Just Knitting! This Class is two 2-hour sessions and can be scheduled at your convenience.

INTRODUCING INTARSIA
With this workshop you will knit a great color block design that can be used on a sweater front or a pillowcase! You will learn to chart and create your own design. Materials: 2 skeins of worsted weight yarns (2 different colors) and needles to gauge.

ENTRELAC
Entrelac is an interesting and fun technique that creates a woven-look fabric that is great for scarves, hats, socks, and sweaters. We will make Danica from Knitty.com. Please print out a copy of the pattern before class. Supplies available at the shop.

WATERFALL SCARF/KNITTING WITH BEADS: Learn this beautiful technique for creating beautiful heirloom style scarf. Based on purses from the 40's this is a stunning look. Some homework to be completed before class. You must know how to knit and purl for this project. Beginners welcomed and encouraged.

DOUBLE KNITTING - THE UNCLE ARGYLE SCARF
Double knitting is a technique that creates a two-sided reversible fabric with stockinette on both sides. In this class (which will be taught by the designer!) we will be making the Uncle Argyle Scarf from Son of Stitch n Bitch. You must have a copy of the book for this class, which will be available at the shop (please let us know ahead of time if you need the book so we can have enough on hand). You must know how to knit and purl for this project. Supplies available at the shop. Beginners welcome! DATES: TBA
COST: $50.00 which includes the book, $35.00 if you already own the book
**A 50% deposit is required one week prior to class with the remaining balance to be paid at the start of class. Any class cancellations less than one-week of class makes all deposit non-refundable. If you have paid for a class and cannot make it, we will try to schedule you for the next session. All Students receive a 10% discount on all supplies needed for class. Classes can be rescheduled or cancelled due to lack of participation. |
